Help 😳

I’ve had the paraguard iud since June 28, 2017. When I first got it I had extremely heavy and painful periods for probably the first 5 months. Then they became regular and slowed down. My boyfriend has always been able to feel the string. But recently (about two weeks ago) we were having sex and I started bleeding pretty heavily. It didn’t hurt at all, so I thought it was a little odd but just figured it was my period starting. The next day I didn’t bleed at all and slowly started to spot into my period. Within the past month I’ve noticed a random twitch in my lower abdomen/cervix area. And ever since I’ve had horrible discomfort and pain during sex or anything. Even when he just fingers me it’s uncomfortable. And I almost constantly cramp. I have a doctor’s appointment June 4th for my yearly. Any ideas of what could be going on? Should I try to get in earlier?
