feeling underappreciated

So today has been an all around shitty day. I babysat my brother for my mom, and she has this dog. Well she let it out to go use the bathroom and he never came back. So I went out and drove everywhere posted on Facebook begging people to look for him. Now keep in mind I am married, I live an hour away and I have a husband and family that depend on me. I looked from 7am to 3pm, She got back and I had to leave to wake my husband up for work and take care of everyone else. So I kept the posting about the dog, my mom contacts a lady at Paws that we adopt dog thru. Well I just got a text from my mom saying he came home, she then proceeded to post a big thank you to that lady that didn't even look for the dog.

I spent hours trying to find a dog for her, and not even a thanks. I mean I would've looked for it anyways, but a simple thanks would be nice. Maybe I'm overreacting, but I can't stand her at the moment.

UPDATE: I didn't lose the dog, she let him out and told me to let him back in about 30 minutes later. He never came back, I didn't lose him and I searched for him, knocking on people's doors and calling animal control and shelters.

UPDATE: For fucks sake My mother let the dog out, she said an I quote "Give him 30, and he'll be back at the door" Kay, so I waited with the door open for an hour. my mothers other dogs came home and he did NOT. My mother let the dog out and I waited for him like she said.
