Postpartum sex

Im feeling so defeated.

My husband and I tried to have sex at 6 weeks and again at 8 weeks. Both times it hurt in one specific spot (I imagine it’s near where I had stitches for a small tear) and we had to stop. We used lube and tried different positions and it’s just not happening yet. I had the Mirena inserted at 7 weeks so maybe that made it worse.

If you had painful sex, how long until it was normal again? I realize everyone is different but it’s really getting me down and it’d be nice to hear other’s stories.
