also temping bbt also helps give better guesses at when to expect the next ovulation once u track for a few months in a row without missing a day and being as accurate with the timing of the temping as well

if ovulation didn't occur that time yes as it can actually happen later. the surge isn't an indicator for actual ovulation as we can surge and not ovulate or ovulate and not surge. if you temp bbt daily for a few months its the only way to prove ovulation actually occurred. hope this helps.
