Birth Control Implant Replacement

I really want to get my birth control implant replaced, but I went to the doctor yesterday and they said that I’ve only had it for two years and they won’t replace it yet. I feel like the hormones are wearing off in it, and I have terrible periods normally, so now my periods are starting to come back. My periods are usually so bad that I lay in bed with a heating pad and can’t hardly move, and I don’t want them to get back to that if I can help it. What should I do?
