How Long?

My LO is 6 weeks. She use to nurse from 30 min to an hour at times. Recently I noticed she went down to 20min to sometimes 10. I’m worried she’s isn’t eating enough. How long are you babies nursing for ?

She might be getting more effective at suckling which would mean shorter feeds.

That's normal I told the pediatrician the same thing and she said they become more efficiant and our let down will be slightly quicker.

My son can finish in 10-15 minutes no problem and he's gaining weight like crazy! They get better and better at nursing. As long as she isn't fussing or showing hunger cues after feeds she's getting what she needs!

My son will nurse anywhere from 5-15 minutes. he used to nurse for much longer but I think our bodies have gotten into a good rhythm and he become a more efficient eater. as long as your baby is gaining weight well, don't worry! my little guy is 9 weeks and has anyway doubled his birth weight!

Mine is 7 weeks old and she varies on her feeds. Daytime feeds are shorter, but evening feeds are super long before bed...she started feeding like crazy/cluster feeding before she was 6 weeks...now less of cluster feedings, but eats probably 1.5 hours of the 3 hours before she goes to sleep...but she is sleeping longer stretches
