Tips on using a doppler?

I'm 13 weeks 4 days and just purchased this, but I think I'm only picking up my heartbeat? (The fast, loud swooshing sound) Any tips on how to use it and find the heartbeat?

Full bladder, full volume and lots of patience. Aim low! Find some videos on YouTube, they’ll help you figure out where to put the Doppler and also what you’re listening for 😊

Found mine today at 9+6 weeks.. right above my pelvic bone..a decent amount of pressure needed.

The baby’s heartbeat will be a lot faster than urs keep that in mind and don’t get discouraged if u can’t find the heartbeat it may take a couple of try’s/a little practice ^^

Prop your pelvis up by putting a pillow under your butt. Having a full bladder helped me as well when it was early on.

you have to push hard and move all over your lower stomach. you'll know it's the baby's when it's going really fast and it sounds distant. your own heart beat would be going slow so you'll know when you find it.
