Sex hurt last night

Last night my husband and I had decoy was 10 days since last time and before then it was 22 day and 4 days of the 22 I had my period but last night was the first time in maybe the last 10 times we have had sex where he was on top all the other times it was from behind on out sides but last night when he went to push in far it hurt ALOT and when he would go fast too it would. Could that be from not have sex really and him not being on top to shove it in all the way.
