Is 8 weeks too early to announce??

Hey ladies,
Me and my partner have paid to have a private scan when I’m 7 weeks 5 days pregnant with the view that we are going to tell our immediate family a few days later. Is that too early to tell them? We’re all meeting up as people live far away so it seems the perfect time to just don’t want to tempt fate! X

We had a scan at 8.5 weeks and after that told our immediate family, parents and siblings only.  We waited till 12 weeks to tell everyone else.  I decided based on the fact that even if the worst was to happen I’d need support from immediate family.

we told people early, when we had a bit of a scare at 12 week scan I was grateful that we had had those happy excited conversations with friends and family before we were into the hard stuff, would have felt so much more alone without them knowing. happily everything turned out ok xx

We found out that I was pregnant when I did a pregnancy test at 2-3 weeks, my husband was so excited that within a week all our friends and family found out. Some time it's very hard to keep a secret.

Don’t tell whole family just parents. You will feel so embarrassed and heartbroken having to send a follow up if you have a miscarriage. Be smart not foolish

I don’t think it’s too early to tell immediate family. 
I told my Mum and cousin as soon as I found out - at like 4 weeks.

We told our immediate family and close friends as soon as we got a positive pregnancy test. We will wait until after the first scan to do the big Facebook announcement but I'm so bloated anyone who sees me would guess anyway. Also we had a miscarriage with complications that meant 3 hospital procedures last year and I found I needed everyone's support to get through that. I'd rather share my joy with everyone from the beginning this time round.
