Potty training

I have a baby boy that will be a year old next month (June 25) and I wanted to know if potty training is a go for him. I feel like he’s ready. He has started bring me his diaper and will lay down for me or he will just take it off hisself. I already bought him a potty that makes flushing noises so he can start learning but he really is not up for it. He doesn’t want to sit down. But him pulled his diaper off in the middle of the night is a big no no woke up to poop all over his bedding. Maybe i should have his daddy potty training him? Idk i just need a little advice
