Food logs?

My boyfriend thinks that since I'm pregnant I should keep a food log. Is it helpful to keep one? Should I keep a food log?

I keep one on myfitnesspal. It's nice because it breaks up your nutrition for the day, protein, carbs and sugars. I don't log every day, just a few times a week to kind of get a ballpark of where I'm at.

It's pointless unless you have some kind of complications...like I kept one because of my gestational diabetes...

I kept one for a few days, to make sure that I was eating well and enough. Since I'm not eating a ton of sugar (as in, none) and avoiding empty carbs, I feel confident about what I'm eating.

I think it's pointless! As long as your taking your vitamins you're okay :) my sisters friend wasn't a healthy eater at all and had a very healthy baby!

I keep one.   I am already iverweight so j want to help make sure I don't gain too much

I wouldn't say it's necessarily pointless, but I am not keeping one, nor would I want to. Seems like a big hassle to me. And I especially wouldn't want someone else (like my hubby) checking on me for 9 months. But I guess there could be situations when it makes sense, for example if you feel you're gaining too quickly or if you have gestational diabetes.
