Grammar/Spelling Nazi?

Question

I'm horrible about correcting people's spelling and grammar. It's just how I have always been. I know that sometimes when posting from a phone, it's not always easy to type things out correctly. But I try to proofread before posting and, once in a while, something will slip by me. 
But- am I the only one who does this on here? I can't help but mentally correct everyone's spelling and grammar mistakes and, sometimes, they're so horrible I can't even finish reading the posts. 😒
I feel like crap for it, but it's one of my biggest pet peeves!

Sorry but I think that's so weird. As you've shared your opinion, mine is- I know people in respectable high ranking careers that can't spell to save their lives but they make 6-7 figures a year and their spelling isn't relevant and hasn't hindered their success in life lol. They are also intelligent, & well rounded but spelling and grammar is clearly not their strong suit, math & science, or being a successful entrepreneur worked out extremely well for them-they still made it in life (imagine that). I'm concerned about WAY bigger things in life rather then the way someone's sentence is written. I feel bad for people who have to listen to such nit picky ball busters. Just my opinion (feel free to grade my post) 😘

I do it too. And when I see grammatical errors on Facebook, I point them out to my husband to make myself feel better about it. Hahaha!

I feel you. A lot of posts don't even make any sense because they're so poorly written and not proofread. I just read (or tried to read) one like that. When I was in high school, my BFFs used to write me notes and I'd break out my red pen and correct their grammar, spelling and punctuation. I'd give the notes back to them covered in read marks. They got a kick out of it and swear their writing improved because of it. :) My biggest pet peeves is use of to, too, and two as well as there, they're, and their.

I mentally correct it on here but I have typos myself with this phone so I understand that and I understand English not being somebody's first language. But when it's the whole post I also just cannot read it or if it's all caps I won't read it. Now with texting, I correct my husband all the time because it drives me crazy and he hates it. I just tell him he won't know if nobody tells him so it's not even in a mean "I'm better than you" way. I avoid doing it on here because people freak out on you if you do correct somebody.

English isn't my first language and for that reason the autocorrect-dictionary isn't always on English - which means it corrects from English to Danish. Most of the time I will notice and go back an correct, sometimes it slips and to be honest sometimes I see it and go 'oh ffs, everyone will know what that word is supposed to be'!

Yes. I hate it when I see "text speak," such as "ur gunna h8 dat, but ttyl." Believe it or not, I once recieved a business email from someone who wrote like that.
