My son is 1 month old and DH and I have noticed that he doesn't respond to noises... Even very loud ones when he's sleeping. He doesn't blink or startle or anything. We took him to a doctor tonight hoping for an answer but looks like we have to wait for a referral to a specialist. It's breaking my heart to not know if he will ever hear me read a book to him ... Or if he will ever hear me say I love you. All the worst case scenarios are running through my head now. Amy advice or stories of anyone with experience would be greatly appreciated.
