Late period... advice?

So my period is late (only by a day today) and I haven’t had sex since last month. My period arrived last month, so that means no chance of pregnancy correct? Just a worried girl checking haha. I have been having some family issues at the moment and have been getting severe panic and anxiety attacks - could this be the reason for my period being late? As I know stress can make it late. Has anyone here been through this before? :) do I need to buy a test? Any advice is well needed!
