How Long Did Your Nipple Piercings Hurt?

hello there. I just got my nipples pierced a little more than a week ago. It didn't even hurt to have them pierced as badly as they hurt now. I fucked up and didn't wear a bra for a week and hit them a couple times against doors, sleeping, etc.. I just went to the piercer a couple days ago to exchange ths bar in one nipple because it was too short and she said they looked fine, but I'm just curious how long the pain will last and if I can do anything to help alleviate it?
