Why do some Christians think rock and roll is evil?

Just curious, I have a hard time understanding this

Probably because a lot of Rock n Roll glorifies overindulgence of the flesh, thus the adage, "sex, drugs, and rock n roll". And sometimes there's cussing and in rare cases satan-worship. But a lot of rock n roll is about lost souls, hardship, and abusive or broken relationships between lovers or family members and it can be a little hopeless (and atheostic) which isn't a Christian mindset but it does reveal a lot about our humanity. There's a good deal of exploration of the human condition in rock n roll and contains a lot of truth about us. My Priest has discussed the truth in classic rock songs he grew up listening to and has even used it to explain the greater Truth to some people. No one can make a blanket statement about a subject that is so variable in its content. Some rock n roll, like any other genre, is evil and Christian's don't (or shouldnt) listen to it. But there is a lot that is also good. Of course, no secular music should be used for any kind of worship or church-related event and even contemporary so-called "Christian rock or pop" should be used in worship.
