Is it to early for my 4 month old twins to eat stage 1 apple sauce?

yes too early. 6 months is the recommended age to start solids even then some babies arent ready.

I started my baby on stage 1 food at 4 months based on my own research, my doctor’s recommendation to do so, and just talking with other moms. Formula was not satisfying her anymore and she needed something additional- she did really well starting the food early and it helped her sleep better and got rid of a lot of fussiness. Every single baby is different and no one knows your baby better than you. Talk to your doctor and do some research and make a decision that you think is best for your little one that makes you comfortable.

a lot of doctors give the go ahead to start food at 4 months but it's actually recently been proven that it harms the babys stomach and nothing but formula/ breast milk should be introduced until at least 6 months. 
I followed the docs recommendations with my first 3, I'll definitely be doing more research instead of just what they say this time round
