Cold and pregnant??

What did you do if you got cold and cough during pregnancy?
Update:- Thank You 🙏 all my lovely ladies here. I’m still coughing bad and my doctor said same think Benadryl, Ricola etc are safe. I just got scared and I felt like I’m gonna die too. This is my FET IVF baby. He is doing perfectly fine but still I get worried for both of us. Thank you all again for replying my post. It is really helpful.

Just got on with it. I’ve had a runny stuffy nose since the beginning.

My midwife said EmergenC was fine so I took that. Keep an eye on yourntemprature. I got a fever a few times and its important to not let your body temperature to get too high, so you can take Tylenol for that.

My midwife just told me that Benadryl and Robitussin are safe during pregnancy. I’m at 36 wks and she mentioned how coughing too hard could cause my water to break early. I’ve been dealing with it for a week already. Feel better momma

Had the flu when pregnant; they gave me some Tylenol. Felt like I was gonna die for 2 weeks straight.

Suffered through it for the first 2 days, then my midwife told me to take Tylenol cold so I could get some sleep. Baby and I weren’t sleeping at all because I was coughing so hard.

Zinc, echinacea, vitamin C. Plenty of warm non-caffeinated fluids. And if you’re getting worse, yes, head to a doctor, immediately if you have a high fever (as this can affect baby).
However, most of these things start off as viral, and antibiotics do nothing. If you can rest and let your body fight it off, you can often avoid secondary bacterial infections that require medications you may not want to put into your body while pregnant.

Suffered lol 😫 took Tylenol to make my aches go away and keep my mild fever down. Ended up with an ear infection and currently waiting at the doctors hopefully for antibiotics, it’s like I’m deaf in one ear because it’s so gross, hurts like a MF and Tylenol does absolutely nothing 😂

I took plain old Tylenol to keep my fever down and then I steamed myself in the bathroom, used saline spray, and did salt water gargles. But it’s awful I feel your pain.

I went to the dr after suffering for 3 weeks. Needed antibiotics and an inhaler for bronchitis.
