Has anyone had a faint HPT and not been pregnant ?

​Confused as I see a lot of these in the thread and think yeah could be positive but people don't tend to update if they turn out to be nothing. I've just taken the below one this morning, it's a cheap £1 one and not sure what to think x

Last month I tested really early and got 3 very faint lines in one day on First Response.  The next day and after that nothing & AF came.  Not sure what that was about since it's rare to get a false positive.  This morning I took a test, AF due today & a faint line again. There isn't really such thing as a 'false positive'. Unless you're taking/had medication etc that has HCG in it, therefore showing on the tests. You either are pregnant, or you're not. Sometimes it can be hard to tell the difference between a faint line or an evaporation line, but a line is a line. Some people say that get a line then it disappears after a few days and they get AF. This would usually be a chemical pregnancy. Hence the 'false positive' (being the fact they're not pregnant anymore but were actually until the miscarriage).

well, the problem is...is that if you're testing before your missed period, you could detect a chemical pregnancy which from what I've read is pretty common...so you could get a pos test then a few

These tests can be a pain sometimes. When we were trying for my daughter, I had 3 of these come up with faint lines like this. I kept using them and once I got a pos, I tested with a FRER and it was positive. Lots of luck!!!

I had two faint lines last month and then AF came. Not sure if it was a chemical pregnancy but hoping it won't mess up my cycle this month!
