I’ve heard that plus sized women are more likely to have multiples. I’m wondering if it’s true.

100% this isn't true. Your weight doesn't depict how many eggs get fertilized or if the egg will split.

I am pretty sure this is because there’s a correlation with overweight people and irregular periods... like pcos or missing periods and potentially releasing multiple eggs the next cycle etc. if you have regular periods I don’t think you’re any more likely than a thin person to have multiples

I know age can factor in multiple. As you get older your body is more likely to release more than one egg to be fertilized. But I e never heard that about weight,

i was thinking tt makes sense but not because of weight alone. more so because overweight women are more likely to have fertility issues which lead them to treatments like clomid, and those create a higher chance. Im guessing more overweight women use fertility meds, but I havent researched that. but i also found this👇

been pregnant 3 times and just had one every time. twins runs on my mother's side though so even if I had them I'd assume it was just from that. the women that have had twins in my family were all petite
