my only child is 19 months and still in a crib. 
if your child is climbing the crib, it's time to switch to toddler. 
if ur child is not climbing and sleeping well in their crib,  I suggest not ruining that.

Right when she turned 15 weeks. she climbed out of her crib and after 4 hours in the ER with a busted lip, we went straight to Babies R Us, bought a toddler bed and had the crib taken apart and toddler bed put together by her bedtime.
