Do you think knitted clothes are ugly?

Has anyone recieved a hand knitted clothing for their baby that is just cringeworthy? I definitely thank my gifters and note the amount of time it takes to knit a coat or hat, but OH MAN. They are so doily and ugly!

Some can be. My dad has a patient who knitted me two hats for my baby and think they are precious. Maybe the thought of it is more to me tho. He's like 98 years old who is a war vet and uses knitting as a way to cope with his PTSD and he thought of me, who he has never met, and brought them to my dad to give to me.  It melts my heart. And they really are cute. I'm not just saying it.

Some can be, but my sister has been making beanies and outfits for my boy girl twins and they are the cutest things! She does crocheting though not knitting.

Some are..... And it depends on occasion.... I like finer styles, not real chunky. Thankfully we live in a warm Australian climate now and don't need granny cardigans!
