Exclusively pump or breastfeed and pump?!?!

I hated pumping. I did start pumping to build a small stash and to allow others to help feed if I was overly tired or wanted some me time. Eventually, I returned to work and had to continue pumping to ensure my son had food when I was gone. Breastfeeding for me was so much easier than pumping. My breasts didn’t respond to the pump very well and I hated cleaning parts and bottles. My husband had no issues bonding with my son when I fed. He changed diapers, gave baths, burped, snuggled and played with my son during the times I exclusively nursed.

I ended up exclusively pumping because of latch issue and PPD. I felt it was the best compromise for us. that being said, it was hard. I somehow made it about a year but this time around I want to try EBF again but if I can't, I know I have my pump to fall back on. It did allow my husband to bond with our daughter during feedings and he did enjoy that aspect.

I pumped for 10 weeks due to my baby being in nicu. I found it extremely hard and wouldn't recommend it. Breastfeeding was for me instead of pumping. I found it 1000x easier. Also my husband did occasionally give baby my expressed milk. But we ended up stopping that because it was getting too hard to pump and breastfed. He helped out with bath time, reading books, baby massage.
