I just need to vent for a minute.
About a month ago, my fiancé (25) and I (23) decided that we were ready to start trying for a baby. About two weeks went by, and I asked him if he was really ready because if so, I was going to schedule to have my IUD removed. He said yes, so for the last two weeks, I’ve been trying to make an appointment to get it taken out.
I’ve tried at least five different health departments, and NONE of them will cooperate. EVERY SINGLE PLACE that I have called has said that they won’t take it out because I’ve only had it for two and a half years. When I got it out in, the nurse said that I needed to keep it for at least two, but I could take it out any time after that. I’ve tried telling them that it is making me physically ill and that it is giving me extreme problems, but none of them will budge. They’ve told me that they have appointments available, but no one will let me schedule one.
Is it just not the right time for us to try? I don’t know what else I can say to have an appointment, but at this point, I’m just ready to give up.
