Question

I got my nexoplanon placed on the 11th do we still have to use protection cause my doctor never told me when it was ok to stop using protection???? and last night was the 1st time we didn't use protection and he finished in me 😬 and glow is saying I'm in the middle of my fertile week so my question is I'm i covered by my nexoplanon yet???

Answer

The nexplanon instructions say you should use backup contraception for a week if you got the implant greater than 5 days from beginning of your last period.  New birth control methods take at least a month to start regulating your hormones.  Therefore, you should use a backup method of contraception such as a condom for that month to be on the safe side.

It takes one full week so you should be fine!
