when do babies interactive play?

I know a 8 month old baby, when I get to hold/play with her, she will interactive play with me. For example she will play with a plastic lid, chew on it and reach out to me to put it in my mouth. Isn't this early for her age? I thought babies do this much later on.

No that sounds normal. My son is 8 months old and he has been noticing and laughing and playing with his sister and us since he was like 5.5/6 months old

No, that's not early at all haha my daughter's been playing independently and interacting with me and her surroundings since she was 3 or 4 months old. By 8 months, they should be more than accustomed to playing.

I think my daughter started around 4 months. That’s when she started laughing at me and taking toys.
