People say that kids are disrespectful and disobedient these days, why do you think that is?

I definitely know some disrespectful kids but in every generation there was bound to be some. I personally think that the kids of today aren’t disrespectful if anything they’re more respectful. These kids grew up with relative equality of the sexes, no tolerance for racism and rights for LGBT+ people. There is still so much wrong with the world of today and the kids/teens recognise that. They see all that this world has to offer including the bad things and want to change them however they can’t “because they’re kids”. I would understand if they lost respect for some adults of the world who have the power to change systems which are impressing people but they never change anything. I also think the kids of today don’t like a lot of traditions because they see it as an excuse to oppress people in the name of something that can’t be changed (or can it?). These are just my personal views but what do you think, are children today disrespectful and disobedient and if so why?
