does anyone know what this means?

my boyfriend found this laying around.. I've never seen a turtle with this type of design.

Idk that it means anything. It’s probably just a design - looks carved which means you can only really use straight lines. 
Buuuuut it does remind of a little bit of Yggdrasil (Tree of Life) if you aren’t familiar with Norse mythology, the tree of life has 9 worlds. This turtle only has 7 groups of the 3 verticals lines but they are positioned EXACTLY where the worlds would be on Yggdrasil. And the little pyramid shape also separates it into 3 parts, just like Yggdrasil (roots, trunk, branches)

So mayyyyyybe it was based on that and they just took out Asgard (basically heaven) and Hel (obviously hell) and left only the the ones that are not sort of “beyond” the tree. 
Though I’m still leaning towards it just being a design with no particular meaning.
