Some people might find this a silly question but I genuinely want to know what the difference is.
What’s the difference between your mucus plug and the bloody show?

Funny story about this; I had no idea the “bloody show” was a thing. I’ve heard of mucus plug but never bloody show.
So I’m in the hospital at 36 weeks getting induced and the doctor comes to check how dilated I am a couple hours after she broke my water. I hadn’t been up from my bed at all yet and didnt really feel anything wet on me. She pulls up the blanket and goes “oh, there’s a show” and I look down and about fainted. My thighs were covered with slimy blood (I get very nauseous at the sight of blood, even my own). I of course kinda freaked out because I had no idea that was normal, and I ask what the hell that was. She kinda chuckled and explained it wasn’t anything bad that meant baby was in trouble (we had issues with the pregnancy which is why i was being induced that early and why I freaked.)
But yeah, I went my entire pregnancy never hearing the term “bloody show” 😂

Same thing - sometimes the plug has blood streaked through it.
