In the delivery room?

Anyone who is really close with their dad have them in the delivery room? My dad has been waiting a very long time to become a grandparent, he seriously wants nothing more and I want to include him. Some people think it’s weird.

Absolutely not that’s so awkward to me and not something I’d want my dad EVER seeing. I’m a labor and nurse and think it’s honestly the weirdest thing when people have their dad in there...and it’s not very often that happens. There’s no reason he needs to see all that when he can come in after you’ve delivered and are cleaned up 🤷‍♀️

The most amazing part of childbirth is that everything is up to you, regardless of how anyone else may feel on the matter. If you are comfortable with him being there, then let him in. Don’t miss the opportunity just because a couple of strangers think it’s uncomfortable. They don’t know the circumstances of your relationship. If you want him in the room, absolutely go for it. It is entirely your choice and no one else’s. 💕

My dad tried to come in with my first and I freaked out on him. I wanted no one there , even in the hospital except my husband and it will be the same this time. Unless you’ve already been through it you don’t get how personal of a time it is . I mean / it’s all out. That would make my husband soooooo uncomfortable with him there . Never ever .

my dad was there for my first baby. it was weird at all. he's my dad he raised me. He wasn't trying to look at my vagina or anything he was being supportive. this is your labor experience. allow who ever you want ☺

I say if he wants to be there let him, give him the option. I don't think it's weird because like others have stated it isn't like he has to watch the baby actually come out. You do you girlfriend! Don't let the ppl that think it's not a good idea get in your head
