(stolen idea) Should a 16yr old at 5'3-5'4 weight 187?

so, I quit karate (my only form of exercise since beginning HS,) a couple years back, and I've noticed a pretty exponential weight gain. last year, I quit a little bit before or after school started and I weighed about 167-8, my boyfriend and mom told me that that was too much for someone my age and size, and well I weighed myself again a couple months back and I 187. it's made me really insecure about my body, and I'm always bashing myself for it.

I know that trusting the BMI isn't good, but it says I'm overweight, and I know I am, but I can't eat right because 1) I can't afford organic food and 2) my mom won't buy it. also, my mother does not cook for us, and the house is never stocked with anything to cook with. I've tried exercise, and I really want to be in a class like setting where I can lost in what I'm doing, but my options are limited. I feel big, and fat, and just gross when I see all of these skinny, or curvy girls running around in super cute outfits that I can't wear because they wouldn't look good on me.

does anyone have any weight loss exercise challenges, or tips that they can lend me?
