Did you grow up around cigarette smoke as a child?

Yes I was born with severe athsma and have suffered my whole life.. Yes some babies are born without issue but are you prepared to watch your child suffers the their whole life because you chose to continue to smoke etc?? I know my mother feels great remorse.. I was in and out of hospital my whole life because of it and I still suffer..

I did grow up around smokers i always had very bad ear infections and became a smoker myself. (I quit a year ago)

My mother smoked during her pregnancies & around me growing up. I & my little brother were born prematurely, idk if my sister was. As far as I know, being premature has been our only problem due to cigarette smoking. I would not be surprised if other health problems we've had were caused by it though.

Define "fine" and "had problems." My mom was a smoker for the first 15 years of my life. I don't have any lung problems, but I did have other ones... Of the mental/emotional variety.

Inner ear problems out the wazoo as well as respiratory problems. I can't be around smoke without my ears hurting. My husband used to smoke but he switched to vaping and he is on the way to quiting that too! :)

Yes and I had terrible asthma because of it. Now that I'm not around it, I'm breathing pretty well.

my dad and his side of the family all smoked when I was a kid. Grew up having chronic bronchitis and I still get pneumonia really easily. 😣 I'm extremely sensitive to smoke, smog, and allergens to this day.

My best friend's dad always smoked in the car with him when he was little. When he was in high school he was diagnosed with throat cancer. He fought it for 4 years and was in remission. It cam back when he was 23 and it spread to his lungs and died when he was 25. Losing him so young was the hardest thing I've ever been through.

My fiance smokes and I told him if he wants me to get pregnant he is going to have to quit smoking because I'm not going to bring a baby into this world around smokers.
