PCOS symptoms without having cystic ovaries?

Nicole

I was diagnosed with PCOS about 2 years ago. Irregular periods, heavy bleeding one month for a week then spotting all month long the next month. I went to an Endo that specializing in PCOS the middle of February of 2018. She ran blood tests on me and the blood tests results had said my sugar was 104 (she said regular is 100 or below after fasting) and my testosterone was a little elevated (I can’t remember what she said I was). The rest of my results look amazing!

Before I left her office, she had told me that nothing really she could do for me except refer me to a fertility specialist to see why I wasn’t ovulating.

April of 2018, I had discussed my results with my OB. After hearing my results, she said there isn’t much she could do for me besides going in and taking a look to see if she could see anything. I had a laparoscopic procedure done. She went in and checked my tubes(free and clear), ovaries(no cysts) and uterus(besides her finding it is tipped). Everything looked great!

I recently lost 44 pounds over 4 months, I was advised that it would help with the PCOS and hopefully make it so I will ovulate and get my period under control. Without luck. The weight loss hasn’t helped with that. It’s helped my acne, my self image, self confidence but not my period.

No doctor can figure out why I bleed so light for an entire month and don’t ovulate.

Has anyone had the wrong diagnosis before?

Do you think I’ll ever figure it out?

Can I have the symptoms of PCOS without having the cystic ovaries?
