Cleaning up after your husband??

Am I wrong to be angry that my husband expect me to wash up his plates, clean up after him, do his laundry, etc because in his words “it’s my duty because I am a stay at home Mum”. I have been on maternity leave since we had our baby four months ago

Fuck this shit. You’re his wife and the mother of his baby, not his mom or his maid!
A marriage and parenthood supposed to be a cooperative thing. You help each other. 
I do care for my bf but he helps out around the house too. 
Your husband is a self absorbed spoiled jerk in my opinion. 
If he thinks you’re SAHM and therefore should clean / cook for him then you, then tell him he better pay you a salary. And oh, your hourly rate just went up!

I think a SAHM should be more responsible for household duties, but that doesn’t make you a slave and it especially doesn’t mean cleaning up after an able bodied grown up. I would be pissed if my husband assumed I was his maid.

I AM a stay at home wife, i do ALL the chores because i have time and consider it my contribution to our relationship.
YOU are a stay at home MOM, watching children is a 24/7 job and I know because i worked in childcare for almost 10 years. if you can get an occasional task done then that’s great, but the baby is a full time job. 
Not only should your husband still be splitting chores with you. he should be splitting child care when he’s off work because child care is 24/7.

While I do think a SAHM should do the majority of the chores (even though it’s so hard with a baby who wants to be held 24/7) the husband should also help out. You are raising a little human and asking you to do every house chore on top of that is ridiculous.

Excuse me, being a stay at home mom is a full time job, the compensation is price less. 
Let him know you want teamwork you and him together. That he could help with the basics. 
Girl if he doesn’t help out, then stop doing his laundry. Let him know the baby demanded all your attention and your hands were tied, but he can go ahead and help him self to do it. Show him where the detergent  and the hamper too. 
I had struggles too with my hubby. I was going crazy with no help until my baby was 10 months and no sleep. Until I told him I need his help I’m not a machine.  
Demand help if you must, otherwise each day that goes by you’ll fall out of love with him in the things he lacks.  Speak up and together both of you can agree to help each other I think it would strengthen your marriage. Also, give him the baby then go shopping yourself for an hour. He can handle it. It’s his baby too.

It took me a long to to teach my that I'm not his mom, nor is his mom coming to clean up after him! 
I would do my own dishes and let his pile up, I'd do my own laundry and let his pile up in the closet...
he finally learned that if he doesn't do it then no one will or that if he doesn't help around the house then I'm not doing anything for him! I cook, you clean..
Ladies, I'm telling you... the more you do, the more they expect!

SAHM job is childcare. That’s it. The rest still has to be shared. If you have time to do more than your half that’s good, if not- still good as your main job is taking care of your child

I do most of those things because I am a sahm... I feel like I don’t go to a job so it’s part of my job at home. My husband has never made me feel like I had to do things for him or that it was “mandatory”. he helps out a lot still especially now at the end of my second pregnancy. If it wasn’t for him our house would never be clean right now. I like making sure he’s got food on the table, clean dishes and clothes to wear, he works hard and comes home and occupies our toddler for a few hours and takes care of the entire bedtime routine. I’m a lucky woman... I’d never do shit if he yelled at me to do it.

I'm a sahm too and trust I know how you feel. If I don't do the dishes for one day I get reemed out, "because it's my job" he feels like he has his job and I have mine. Sometimes I really pisses me off especially when he makes a huge mess and thinks he shouldn't even help.
