Link between diarrhea & contractions?

Is it true there's a link between the two? Yesterday I had two painful contractions. And three bouts of diarrhea which makes no sense because I hadn't ate anything that would cause it! Yesterday and today when I stand up my whole stomach automatically tightens up too. Ideas? 😕

My first pregnancy I had diarrhea all day before I went into labor... Plus side, I didn't poop while giving birth lol but seriously, if it continues you should speak with your doctor.

How far along are you? I've heard that. Diarrhea can sometimes be a sign of impending labor for some women. Something about the body's way to prepare for some women.
