Opinions please!!! Are these swings worth the price?

We're buying a used one off eBay or Craigslist. They're used for such a short period of time. Full price seems silly.

I was going to buy a mamaroo until I read all the negative reviews. Many people said baby preferred a "regular swing" you also can only use them up to about 5-6 months depending on how fast baby grows. I feel like the almost $300 just isn't worth only 5-6 months of use.

Used the mamaroo with our first...total life saver. Expensive, but worth it for us.

I think it kinda depends on baby? My little girl hated the mamaroo. And it was rather loud.  We kept it for like 2 weeks and sold it. And she kept sliding down it when we tried to sit her up a little.

The baby i nannied hated it. Most kids like the regular swings. This one has a strange motion. Not really like a normal swing.

It depends of what kind of motion they like. I'd set the money aside and buy one once baby lets you know what they like. My daughter liked to MOVE to sleep, so she loved her momaroo, but some babies prefer the simple rock or bounce.

I read a lot of reviews about them and I heard babies actually don't like them. Research it a bit especially since it's pricey.

My nephew had one when he was in the Barbara bush children's hospital and when he got admitted agian over the winter most of the infants have them know. My MIL ended up buying me one

The mamaroo has I think 5 different motions, but it does not go either back and forth or side to side (I can't remember). A friend of mine has one and her baby HATED it, but luckily grew to like it. I love the space saving foot print, but I'm going to go with a different swing that's a little less expensive that only goes back and forth and side to side. The rockaroo seemed like a waste of money to me and I'm not familiar with the bouncearoo (although kudos to the makers of these swings because the names are adorable!)

I had a swing with my first 10 years ago before these were out and I fully plan on getting one of these this time around. A swing saved my life the first time around!
