Any pregnant Police officers??

I’m currently 5wks 3days pregnant. I’m still actively on duty meaning I haven’t told my Sergeant yet. When did you ladies let your employer know? What did they do with you ?

Im a full time firefighter at a very busy department.  I went on light duty at 12 weeks, although my ob said I could continue as long as I felt okay and could fit my clothes, or to 20 weeks.  I didn't risk it past the 1st trimester.  I know not the same job, but go with your gut and what doctor says.  Id say 12 weeks is reasonable.

I’m in the same boat. I told mine ASAP. It’s just not worth the risk from some 148. Good luck!!

I feel like that's a tough one! I told my work around 13 weeks. I work retail however and it's not very active. They were very welcoming and will allow me to continue working until I give birth and when I'm ready to go back to work after wards. But in your situation I couldn't tell you how that would go. Have you talked to your doctor first to make sure it was okay to continue working your job? I think the doctors opinion and advice is the best you can take. And if he or she says it's okay to work then make tell your work that you're still capable and reliable to continue working, until your doctor says other wise. Hopefully they will be understanding.
