Promise rings pics/idea!

Hey y’all, so I’m 24 and my boyfriend is 27. We’ve been together for a year and lately he’s been doing this promise ring talk. I’ve been married and divorced before so just keep that in mind. Marriage again doesn’t scare me because I found the love of my life. One day while at a concert I was looking at my ring (which is a pandora princess crown ring) that I always wear on my right hand.... and he said “I think it’s about time I got my baby a promise ring”. All his friends who are older have told him that it’s bad luck to propose without getting me one. I personally think they’re so high school. I think the gesture is sweet but I’d rather he just put that money toward an engagement ring for the future. We are very close, I’m planning on moving into his house at the end of the year (it’s under renovation currently or else I would). He’s told me that he wants to promise that one day he will get me a ring and we will be married. Now coming from a situation where I’ve already been married I’m kinda like “why are you bringing this up?”. I love him and I love the idea if we were a lot younger.... but he’s gonna be 28 in 6 months.... it’s not like I’m pressuring him for a ring because I’ve told him I would rather he wait. Honestly if he handed me a promise ring I’d be really upset because I feel like it’s something he already knows I don’t want and I feel like it’s a guy taking an easy way out. Please share your thoughts on this! Ps: if you look at promise rings online they’re so expensive now, and they look like engagement rings. Please post pics of your promise rings and engagement rings!
