Paranoia??? Or herpes

I had unprotected sex with someone back in March. I trusted the guy and he recently got tested and was all clean. For the past two months I have experienced nothing but paranoia and anxiety over this and have gotten tested for STD’s 4 times. I have no signs or symptoms of herpes and everyone has told me to calm down. However, for the past 2-3 days my vagina has been tingling non-stop. Does anyone know whats happening to me?? Or is this also anxiety?

Did you get a blood test for herpes though? Most STD tests don’t include herpes because doctors are only recommended to test for that if there is a lesion present. I didn’t even know until I worked in gynecology; all those years I thought I was also being tested for it during my screens. A regular swab screen checks for Trich/BV/yeast in one culture and chlamydia/gonorrhea in another, and bloods test for HIV/syphilis, unless you ask them specifically to do blood work for HSV1/HSV2. Tingling is a precursor to an outbreak, but you could also be stressing out about it so much your body is giving you signals of an outbreak because sometimes the body can be cruel like that.

If you’ve been tested and the results have been negative, it’s probably your anxiety. I would suggest seeing someone to speak about that.
