I actually knew a little girl whose name was spelled “Eva” but pronounced like “Ava”. She absolutely hated it. She would get so upset over no one ever knowing how to pronounce her name that she would actually cry and tantrum. Eventually she stopped letting people call her “Ava” and insisted that people call her “Eva” like it was spelled. Her parents and siblings weren’t happy but she was. 🤷‍♀️ 
I think both Eva and Ava are beautiful names, but they are different names and I would pronounce it as it’s spelled.

They're two seperate names, I don't really understand why you would want to pronounce either as the other.

Why not just name Ava? Think of all the times she will be called on the first day of class and she’ll have to go “no it’s Eva”...don’t do that to the poor girl

I’m sorry but I think those are two different names, think of the annoyance she’ll have to go through, believe me my name is Ireland, I get the Scotland, Finland jokes and even mispronounces and I HATED it growing up!
