surgery recovery
Hey guys, two weeks ago today I had my hemorrhoids surgically removed. I went into the surgery knowing that it was going to be a painful recovery. At first, I thought I was the luckiest because the first 3-4 days, I had absolutely no pain (looking back it was probably all of the drugs in my body, as I was put under general anesthesia) and I was super grateful for that. But then reality sunk in and now the pain is excruciating. Ive managed to cope and ive learned how to move my body in ways where I dont feel as much pain. I have seen very little improvement which is worrying me because in past surgeries, the two week mark (in my experience) meant I was home free because I felt little to no pain. Not in this case. I still have a hard time sleeping, walking, sitting , and of course using the bathroom. I would really like to hear the experiences all of you ladies had and how long it took for you to be able to return to your normal lives. Its really starting to feel like there isnt a light at the end of this tunnel. I knew what I was getting myself into but im feeling like I made a mistake getting the surgery because im in more pain now than before (I had two hemorrhoids for over a year).
Excuse this long post. Id love to hear about your experiences and recoveries
