I remember a few years ago I told my bf that our mutual friend liked me, he told me to get over it because he doesn’t, he’s just being friendly. 6 years later, the mutual friend is now my best friend who admitted to liking at one point and I haven’t seen or spoken to that ex since. it depends on if it’s someone you’ll ever see again, or someone y’all know. ideally you share everything with your partner because they’re your best friend and girls talk about everything but I know some people are in weird situations or their partner gets extremely defensive

I always tell my husband in the interest of openness. 
I mean if he sees another guy looking at you in a certain way or something and you haven’t mentioned it he may think there’s something going on when there’s not. At least if you are open about it up front he knows and also knows that you’ve turned them away. Plus I think guys like when others look at you but also like knowing that you’ve turned them down and that you aren’t interested in someone else. Maybe it’s just me though
