Looking for baby monitor recommendations!

First time parents here and we're due in Oct. Very excited and we're working on getting everything in order and I've been looking at trying to find the right baby monitor and would love to hear any recommendations if you have them.

Problems I'm facing are these:

It seems like the best reviewed ones I can find all are tied down to a video device that isn't your phone, which means I'm shackled to only using it in the house with whatever range it has. (Like this for example)

We have a fair amount of "smart home" products and are pretty far into the Amazon Echo ecosystem. Ideally I'd love to have a system that works with that and allows us to view the camera anytime/anywhere with our phone. (Like this for example) Problem is - most of these don't have a ton of reviews and what is out there isn't as highly rated as cameras that don't use your smart phone. (Better reviews, but is much more expensive)

Another option I've been looking at is just using a general camera that I can reuse later on, or buying a few of them to start integrating into our ecosystem without having to get another separate brand device/app (Like this). The problem with this is that it seems to lack the specific baby monitoring features the others have. But maybe those features are overkill if we have an Owlet?

A newbie here who doesn't want to go over/under board just looking for some guidance or suggestions if you have them!
