Pink highlighter 🙄

So I found out something pretty weird

yesterday. I used to have a really cool highlighter. It was a whitish golden colour just like usual highlighters. Yesterday I went out and got the same highlighter in a different colour. It's a pinkish shade and I noticed that it wasn't giving the desired highlight. I had to put on like idk how much of it and then I got a slight highlight but it sort of looked really caked up and....just not good. I asked one my makeup junkie friends and she said it's the wrong shade. Pinkish highlighters should never be used. Does anyone else agree? I'm super pissed off rn
