hyperthyroid in pregnancy-panicking!
Hello all,
I am looking for people to share their experiences with hyperthyroidism and pregnancy. I was on a low dose of methimazole for the first trimester (only 5mg/day) but apparently any amount can cause birth defects. I am now 16 weeks and my thyroid isn't acting right and my doctor wants me to increase to 15 mg/day! Ugh. I am seeking some comments from folks who took methimazole during pregnancy and how it all turned out. So stressed!
