Depo BirthControl Weight again

So I let my sister talk me into getting depo for a birth-control well sense I started it February 27 this is what my periods look like and I’ve gained 40 pounds! I’m 5’7” y’all and up to 215# I also gave birth December 31 2017 so I’m really discouraged because no matter what I do I can’t lose the weight.

I’ve had the birth control that goes in the arm and bled for 6 months with a two day break then the rest of the year, I forget to take the pill (that how we got our daughter born September 2015) and I will NOT have anything put in vaginally. What can I do? Should I try the pill again? Or the patch? I just want to get rid of this weight
