Pregnancy test

My period is due in 6 days.. this morning I took a 6 day sooner test by first response and got a negative.. I was really certain I was pregnant this month... my nipples are sore, they are larger, they have the white little zit like things on them all over, I’ve been nauseous, headaches, dizziness, super tired and it was still negative.. could it still be too soon to test?? We’ve been trying for 6 months already.. hurts so bad seeing a negative test..
