Current WIP Update @ Bottom!

I’m a fiber artist who constantly struggles with feeling like my art isn’t art because of the medium and I’m not indeed painting but sewing. My inner critic is a bit of a bitch but we co-exist. I’m about a month and few days into my current portrait, this is of course a study but my pieces take an extremely long time: finding a willing subject, scheduling time to meet up, setting up lights and stuff, photographing them, finding the winning shot, editing in photoshop and other softwares, preparing my color palette and materials than can range up to $50 and more and actually beginning the piece which can range from 2 months to a year.

Hope you enjoy this half-ass piece, I’m not really sure where this falls as in genres but portraiture is all the comes to mind.
