I’m throwing a party for me and my boyfriend for our 20th birthday since we are only 4 days apart and can do one big party with both families. Heres the backstory. So we decided to do a bbq pool party at my boyfriends aunts house since she has a giant pool and a pool house, she was so glad we asked cause she was wanting to open the pool for the summer and have people over. All we asked was for everyone to bring a dish of whatever they wanted to make, and bring a swimsuit to swim. Thats it. We didnt ask for presents, we just wanted to make it more as a big get together than a birthday party. I send out the invites to my friends and family, everyone gets back to me saying theyll make it. Well, my sister decides to give my mom a call mad that im throwing a party. She told my mom “ nobody threw a party for me when i turned 20, so why does she need one?” And “well im not making anything or bringing anything for this party and i hope she knows im not getting her anything.” ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!?! I am just about ready to call her and tell her dont come if shes pissed off over a party. I told her about this party months in advanced, so i knew she could switch around her work schedule if she needed to and i never asked for presents. She always gets mad when anybody doesnt tell her about events with 3 weeks in advance, so i dont understand what her problem is. She complains she doesnt see anybody and nows shes pissed im inviting to a party with all the family. So i dont know what she wants from me, what should i do
