How to nicely tell my MIL no to taking my daughter?

I’m due with baby number two. My mom is going to take my daughter for the time in the hospital then she will help me at home with both kids for a week.

My MIL wants to take my daughter home with her, 14 hours away, when my mom leaves. I do not like this idea. That is too far for my liking and my MIL isn’t the best caring grandmother. (I know she raised my husband, but even he doesn’t like the idea) the help might be nice, I however feel we will be just fine. She doesn’t want to stay at our house. 🤷🏻‍♀️ fine by me.

I’ve tried saying “the girls need to get to know each other” “We will be just fine” I have told her it’s too far. She took offense and freaked out. Everything I say she has an excuse for. 🤬

Am I being crazy for not wanting her to take her?

I don’t know what else to say I’m NOT comfortable with her driving 28 hours with my daughter. Or keeping her so long... help
